OKOST

Osteopathy

We take a detailed case history of the complaint and your past medical history. This is followed by a physical examination including the area of pain which will require removal of garments down to underwear if necessary. Then a diagnosis is made and this will be explained to you including what the following treatment will entail, if treatment is appropriate. Occasionally we may wish to write to your GP but this is entirely with your consent.

Once the diagnosis has been established we will treat the symptoms using a broad range of osteopathic techniques. We will inform you of everything we do and all treatment will be with your consent.

Osteopathy is a manual medicine and this will be the major part of the treatment  - though manual does not have to mean physically uncomfortable! We also have interferential, ultra sound and dry needling modalities at our disposal.
