Approaches

Tensegrity

The tensegral model was first developed by Buckminster Fuller who defined it as a unit that is under continuous tension with changing compression elements that change with a given environment. It was later taken into the anatomical and bio mechanical fields by many practitioners but never whole heartedly accepted as a model of function and structure. We hope to make this much more applicable in the profession of manual medicine.

The Vagus

The Vagus nerve has always been of great interest to us manual practitioners. It has always been linked with the sympathetic outflow as a kind of yin and yang balance. But probably it is much more that the vagus carries the dominant functional force in our daily lives. Not only that but after Stephen Porges published his Polyvagal theory, it seems that we may have remnants of another vagus! Together with the gut biome this nerve is the key to a contented human being!

Nature Health Access

Nature Health Access is a combination of osteopathic principals and other natural health care approaches such as diet, exercises and cross referrals to herbalists, naturopaths, yoga and pilates practitioners, mindfulness practitioners as well as likeminded colleagues in orthopaedics, physiotherapy and dentistry. Our mission is to help place our treatment in the framework of the Terrain theory as opposed to the contagion and germ theory. Our techniques encompass areas from manual methods and cranial practice to functional techniques (such as “bone bending”!).
